In January of 2003, Ron & his father opened a 180 seat Hog Heaven restaurant located off the I-77 exit in New Philadelphia, Ohio. The original small Hog Heaven closed its doors to welcome the new facility. By the spring of 2003, the new location was accommodating 180 customers indoors, 150 outdoors in the tiki bar area, and with the largest outdoor beer garden in the county, 1,500 in the stage area. Soon this became the best location to have a great meal, join in large events, such as the Informerfest, the HOGtoberfest, charitable fundraisers or to welcome national acts such as David Allan Coe. In September of 2004, Ron & his father opened another Hog Heaven off I-77 & US-62 in Canton, Ohio. This location is similar to the New Philadelphia restaurant without the outdoor stage area.
Hog Heaven is a great supporter of fundraisers for children in need. Each year Hog Heaven, through its Tom Watson (former Law Director of Dover) Motorcycle Run, donates a $500.00 scholarship in Mr. Watson's name, to one of the area's high school seniors. In 2004 Hog Heaven, in conjunction with the Wind & Fire Motorcycle Club (active & retired firefighters with Harley Davidson motorcycles), Northeastern Ohio Chapter 89, raised over $20,000, which was donated to ACBC (Aluminum Cans for Burned Children) of Akron Children's Hospital Burn Unit. Hog Heaven also participates in the annual Teddy Bear Motorcycle Run, which supports the Akron Children's Hospital, by providing food to the participants. In 2003 & 2004 this event enabled Hog Heaven to donate over $2,000 annually to the hospital. Hog Heaven & its staff enjoy working with their communities and will continue to do so in the years to come. Thank you for checking out our website. We look forward to having you join us at one of our restaurants.
